Dave's Eats: The Lemon Drop

Sorry about my lull. I was begining to give up, you know give in.  I was so close to my prize and then I just totaly lost it.  I was workin doin stuff online and i just didnt get around to it.  Im workin on addin some awesome new ideas for my critiquing so please stay tuned.

The Lemon Drop founded in 1954 by Mike Lemon.  The oldest restaurant in Anderson.  I was priveleged to sit at the table and take in the full 300 sq ft of the resaurant.  It is quite an experience in this little diner that makes you remember the old days, with some new flair with the high school waitresses' colored hair.  the store has merchandise and that makes it high on my list already.  The merchandise is just over a small jukebox sitting lonley in the corner waiting for someone to drop in a dime to play a song about New Orleans. but aside from that this store goes on to make life an adventure every time you enter.

There is a model train that cicles the store once every minute or so and it carries fake lemons to a fake destination that may just be completly fake, but the train keeps pushing round the bend, determined to get those giant lemons home.

On to the reason you read my blog(yeah) The food.  I was priveleged to partake in the "World Famous" Onion Burger.  The key to this bad boy is that there is onion inside of a beef pattie ready to excite your senses.  It is really a great sandwhich with fresh toppings and of course, onions cooked into the meat.  I also had onion rings and a coke to finish off the meal and I probably scared everybody off the rest of the day

I will give The lemon Drop a ****/5 thats four stars cause its just so darn cute with its train and lonley jukebox in the corner and the food is awesome and a good deal.

An aside

Sorry to all of you that are subscribed to me and thus get two today, but I just wanted to have an actual weblog entry for once since like last year so here we go

There are many things about my wife that I love and one in particular is the fact that i can tell er anything and see how it goes.  if I get the right response, then i can tell others about it, If I get a bad sign, well, you don't know much of that about me now.

So anyway im sure you'd all like an example and here we go

I was in the same room when stef was watching American idol and I always see how mean everyone is to Simon, And I was furious, "Don't These people know he is one of the elite talent finder's in the world, How stupid these people must be"

"No but she tried real hard and she is mentally unstable" My wife says.

"I don't care, she can't sing why is it wrong for him to tell her that?"

Well, he said it real mean!"She says back

"You can't sing is not a bad thing it is truth"

So anyhow, I thought about it and I just don't think i should take simon's side cause that would make me a "bad person".

Well I know its random, and if you don't like it, send me some ideas for stories, I need to write more on this thing

But anyway Have a good Day

Thanks for reading,

Dave

Dave's Eats Applebee's in Anderson

Just down from IHOP and McDonald's is the little hang out called applebee's.  Its a nice place to relax with friends and have a nice meal and watch the game if you wanted to.  This is a restaurant that caters to many's needs and satisfies them all.  I was lucky enough to catch their newest lunch deal, The combo.

But first we were able to eat the amazing eat that was the spinach and artichoke dip.  Made famous in my family by my wife, we now eat it almost anywhere we go.  It was complete with a beautiful salsa that reminded me of times when I was young and there was a small little place called chi-chi's a Celebration of food, Which my sister helped to embarrass the wait staff twice during her birthday parties.  She went to the bathroom at almost the same moment that they came out to sing for her!  Talk about funny! It was so much fun to see them come out twice and them my sister was actually embarrassed for them.  And it was real funny well sorry I digress.

They have a list that can make up to 60, yeah that's right 60 different combinations for your eating pleasure.  I was even more fortunate to be with my lovely wife, Stef for the eating enjoyment.

My lunch included a Grilled cheese BLT with bacon, lettuce, tomato(duh!) and it had some provolone and cheddar cheese melted on a swirl rye bread twofer.  It was quite the sandwich.  The next item in our lunch excitement was a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar soup.  It was delicious!  I had so many good times at applebee's And they just get better.

What better to wash down this delite than with a smoothie made with strawberry, coconut, pineapple banana and a whole lotta love!  This was a ll the way that a meal should go.

What a great time I even got to chat a little with my wife before we left.  It was a great time with great food, and I liked it allot.

I give Chi-Chi's or, i mean applebee's a *****/5 Yeah that is a five out of five cause my baby was there and I remembered Chi-Chi's

Dave's Eats Fajitas restaurant

Now Im gonna tell y about a place, a place so like a place that its too much place for your placin placer.(Little smurf action) It is called Fajitas restaurant on the east side of 69 at exit 5 just north of Indianapolis. it s in fishers

Now the entrance to this place is nice, it sits in the middle of a strip mall by a liquor store and a cafe and it looks very humble till you get inside.  Inside is filled with dark colors and wood, much like an old mexican cantina.  The chairs are made of beautiful dark wood, along with the tables and the booths.  That of course makes for an uncomfortable place.  but its still pretty.

The food we got was enchillada and jaliscos.  I gotta be honest, they looked great so fresh and pretty and mine had a chunk of avacado on it.  I was exstatic.  I dug right in and the sauce was... like a mole which if you haven't experienced it, id probably say you dont need to but if your daring why not.  It was very sweet and dark which I can only assume was cocoa powder with tomatos and stuff.  The salsa was very thin, like water.  And it tasted like water with spice, so kinda like hot water.  Wasnt really a fan, but I continued on, hoping to get some flavor.  I was not very impressed with the food there, but I ate as much as I could, then felt very sick.

I was able to see jason Varner there which was cool so that made the experience a little better.

I give this restaurant **/2 that 2 because I saw Jason Varner and the seats looked neat.

I hope you join me for my next great culinary adventure.

Thanks for Reading

Dave
